This is the second book in the Belinda & Bennett mysteries series. I have been waiting for this book to come out since finishing book #1 Cliffhanger.In Auf'd, Belinda has been roped into helping with a charity fashion show. Her boyfriend Bennett's company is in charge of event security. Unfortunately, one of the designers is found murdered. As Belinda jumps in to try to find out who killed April, she has to deal with another murder, a kidnapping, an attempted murder, embezzlement, fitting into her bridesmaid's dress, managing the renovations of her parents' home, coordinating the premier opening of her "mobile cupcake boutique," & last but not least, caring for a litter of orphan kittens!
Stepping in to assist her whenever possible is her best friend Victoria, her brother Kyle, detective pal Jonas, & of course Bennett.
This book offers lots of humor while twisting & turning to wrap up the murders & various other story subplots. A great summer beach read, but make sure you read book #1 Cliffhanger first so you understand & enjoy the dynamics among all the characters. Now I am eagerly awaiting book #3 Drive-By to find out what adventures Belinda & Bennett get themselves into next!

The title doesn't make sense and I looked for some relationship with the story. Was unsuccessful.
Love the characters. Great for teens too as there is no sexual content.
Delightful characters.
Enjoyed very much.
I purchased this book after reading the first in the series Cliff Hanger. Mostly I was curious how the author would continue the series. The first showed some interesting potential. I wasn't disappointed.
The second in the series was a pleasant read like the first but with a slightly more complex plot. This book had a number of plot lines running through it and for the most part the author kept them all going. I must admit I am still puzzled by the hole that appeared in the side of her parents house. I am not sure what role it played in any of the plots but her concern with it does reoccur through out the book. Rescuing the kittens seemed a bit random as well but somehow it also fit this character. As for the rest they are brought together by the end of the book. Now you are going to have to read the book just to see what I am talking about aren't you.
I will be looking for the third book and hope that it will continue with the spirit of the first two but perhaps a little tighter editing and continued growth of the two main characters.
Started reading first one and went straight thru to the last one.
Second book in the series is a bit more complex than the first. Having had a niece who was a model I already knew that part of the fashion business. It is a demanding, cut-throat business and this book shows just how competitive and nasty it can be with the designers. I agree with some other reviewers - the hole in the side of the house should have been explained. I liked the interaction between Belinda and her twin which we didn't see in the first book. It was interesting to see the tension between Belinda and Bennett with their backgrounds coming into play. I was very glad to see 'Bels' didn't fall for a super rich guy but rather a hot working dude.
